THE AOT DESIGN PROCESS

Get in Touch
Fill out the online planning form and submit. AOT will review and provide a link to schedule your discovery call.

Discovery Call
The discover call is used to help us get a thorough understanding of your likes and dislikes, passions, curiosities, and desires. This allows us to understand your vision for your upcoming trip. We will also discuss the next steps if you plan to move forward.

Research and Design
A research and design fee will be required for AOT to begin developing your trip package. Once your payment is received, a design call will be scheduled.

Design Call
No two trips are the same. On this call we will identify travel dates, trip length, accommodation style, trip pace, specialized activities, and a budget so we can design an experience to best fit your needs.

Trip Outline
Following the design call, AOT will provide you with a trip overview to ensure we are aligned with your desires and have addressed any and all concerns. Upon trip outline approval, AOT will schedule a call to review the specific details of your itinerary.

Itinerary Review and Approval
On this call, we will provide a line-by-line review of your itinerary and answer any additional questions you may have. This will include accommodations, transportation, and touring, as well as final pricing, deposits, confirmations, terms, and insurance options. Adjustments will be made as needed and upon completion, your final itinerary will be provided to you via email for review and approval.

Pre-Departure
Through AOT’s interactive travel app, you will have access to all necessary travel documentation, including itineraries, confirmations, as well as emergency and daily contacts. Any travel changes or updates will be provided through email, as well as the AOT app.
As your departure date approaches, AOT will provide you with relevant literature, media, and insider tips to become more familiar with your destination.
All reservations and special requests are reconfirmed before departure.

Depart and Discover
Should anything not go as planned, AOT’s architects and global network are in place to resolve any bumps in your journey.

Unlike the travel agent of old, Architects of Travel a true advisory – like your financial advisor, or legal counsel – just a lot more fun! We work together on a consultative basis to design the right trip for you and make the most of your most precious asset, time.

Destination Consultation & Hotel Options
From 150 USD - Not sure where to stay and want our recommendations, you can opt for our Hotel Only + Tailored Recommendations option for a tailored proposal of 3-4 recommendations based on our expertise and your preferences.
Customized Trip Design
From 250 USD — Contact AOT directly as our fees are based on destination, length of trip, and number of travelers.
This traveler is looking for a highly personalized planning service. The process will take many hours of research and planning (for us - not you!). Our unique destination knowledge, network of travel partners across the world, and preferred partner relationships ensure that we are selecting the best experiences and the best values for our clients. These professional fees allow us to provide the quality of service that you deserve while providing the very best return on this investment of your time and money.
Air Travel
First class, business class, premium economy air bookings (includes reservation management and if anything goes wrong, we’ll handle all the logistics and save you the frustration)
